JoAnn Englehart Obituary

JoAnn Englehart

AGE: 71 • Bridgewater

JoAnn Englehart, 71, of Bridgewater NJ passed away on January 13, 2015. Born in Dunellen NJ, she was a resident there before moving to Bridgewater 51 years ago. She was employed by Norris, Mclaughlin, Marcus Law firm in Bridgewater. For over 20 years, she enjoyed her role as an accounting clerk and "undercover boss" with her work "family". She treated her co-workers as if they were her own daughters and enjoyed laughing with the staff on a daily basis. JoAnn enjoyed knitting, gardening, spending time at her pool, and traveling to the Jersey Shore, especially Wildwood Crest. She loved being a mother-the most important role in her life. She raised five daughters with the fun and excitement that every child should be so fortunate to have in their childhood. Every holiday, birthday, vacation and milestone was thoughtfully planned. All the special details came together because of her hard work and creativity. She enjoyed the planning and carrying out of these special times because it gave her great joy to see you smile. She taught her daughters to celebrate those around them and how to be a loyal friend. This loving, caring and thoughtful way carried over to her role as grandmother. She never missed an opportunity to support one of her grandchildren; dance recitals, basketball, football, soccer and shopping became her weekend plans and she loved every minute of it.

No doubt about it, she loved to laugh. Her quick wit was often unmatched. "Glad you got to see me" was a famous saying of hers which made us all laugh. Yes, everyone was glad to see you and we are heart-broken that we will never hear you say those words again.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Mary Zak. Surviving are her five beloved daughters, Donna and husband Gary Venturelli of Bridgewater, Sharon Englehart of Bridgewater, Susan and husband Craig Jones of Milford, Karen and husband Tony Riga of Bridgewater, and Laura and husband Scott Dittman of Oley Pa; seven cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Dayna, Caitlyn, Julia, Lauren, Kevin, and Clay, and her loving Shepard companion Zak.

Viewing will be held on Sunday January 18, 2015 from 1 to 5 PM at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg NJ 08876. Prayers will begin Monday January 19, 2015 at 8 AM at the Branchburg Funeral Home followed by a 9 AM funeral liturgy at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Dunellen NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield NJ. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center 3201 U.S. 22, North Branch, NJ 08876.
