Louis T. Ulrich, Sr.

AGE: 91 • Green Brook & Phillipsburg

Louis T. Ulrich, Sr., 91, died Tuesday, Sept. 27.2011 at the Phillipsburg Care Center. He was born Aug. 12,1920 in New Brunswick to Stephen E. and Gabriella Sarovics Ulrich, Mr. flinch had resided in Green Brook from 1951 to 1997 before moving to Phillipsburq in 1997. He was a truck driver and had worked with Moore's Trucking Co. in Piscataway for 30 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Ulrich was a So year member of Raritan Valley Lodge No.46, F.&A.M., Somerville and American Legion Post No.119, Dunellen. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during W.W.II. He was an avid motorcyclist and was a long time member of the Somerset Co. Federation of Fish & Game Assoc.;Among the things that he enjoyed were gardening and repairing clocks.

He was the husband of Althea L. Sawyer Ulrich who died June 4,1984. His family includes a daughter, Sandra A. Ulrich of Pine Beach, 2 sons, Louis T. Ulrich, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Anchorage, Alaska and Charles S. Ulrich of Phillipsburg, 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Melissa and Jaclyn Hasulak, Joseph, Gina and Jessica Colontane, and 3 great-grandchildren Nicole, Caleb and Seth. He was also a dear companion to Barbara Cardenuto.

A service will be held at The Mundy Funeral Home, 142 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at 10:00am. Interment will be in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association

My Poppy.... I love you so much and will you miss you more then you will ever know!! I can not believe you are gone.How do we go on with out you?
I remember all the motorcycle rides you would bring me on while grandma hid up stairs in her room waitting for us to get back. You always took me on the same route,past the house you grew up in and across that bridge that had the open grate bottom,i was always scared but just being with you made me feel safe..
Now you are with grandma in heaven,maybe now she will go on that ride with you! I love you Poppy
