Robert Melnick Obituary
AGE: 80 • Carteret
Robert Michael Melnick Sr., 80, of Carteret, died on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Toledo, Ohio. He was born in Carteret and was a life-long resident. He retired from US Metal Refining Co. in Carteret as a fork lift operator. Robert was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post 87 Woodbridge.
He is predeceased by his wife, Lorraine; parents, Michael and Anna; and sisters, Rose and Helen. Robert is survived by his daughter, Dawn Marie De Giglio and her husband, Anthony; her sons, Robert Melnick Jr. and Deborah and Joseph Melnick and his wife, Eva; his grandchildren, Nicole Marie, Robert J. and Tyler Melnick, Mario and his wife, Anabel and Annita De Giglio; and eight great grandchildren
The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia. Viewing will be on Friday, from 7 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Church in Carteret would be appreciated.
