RONALD F. HERBSTMAN
AGE: 60
MONROE TOWNSHIP
Ronald F. Herbstman, 60, of Monroe Township, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Cranbury Care Center, Monroe Township. Born in Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Herbstman lived in Monroe Township for the past 39 years, the last two in the Concordia community. Mr. Herbstman was a private investigator and owner of Vanguard Security & Detective Agency, New York City for the past 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to fish and hunt. He was known for his practical jokes and enjoyed dancing with his wife. Mr. Herbstman was a coach for the Monroe Township recreational baseball, football and soccer programs, as well as the Spotswood Little League.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Paladino. Surviving are his rock, lifetime soul mate and wife of 42 years, Celeste Petretti; two sons, Gregory of Jackson, and Brian of Monroe Township; a daughter, Dawn Rousseau of Monroe Township; a brother, Richard Paladino of Flushing Queens, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Reiss, Maya, Sydney, Casey and Sophia Herbstman and Christian and Demi Rousseau.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 20 at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at the Holy Cross Burial Park Crematory Chapel, East Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ryan White Foundation.
