Sally Hardwick Obituary
Bridgewater - Sally R. Hardwick of Bridgewater, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was 90 years old. Sally was born on April 10, 1930 in Binghamton, NY and was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Underwood. Her family moved to Philadelphia, PA when she was a teen. That is where she met her high school sweetheart, Albert. They wed in June 1950 and were married for almost 70 years. Albert passed away in May 2020.
Sally was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was a dedicated mother to her five children and a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren. She had an infectious smile, a great sense of humor and her eyes shined bright with love. She enjoyed a good book and a challenging crossword puzzle. She loved to shop and couldn't resist a good sale. Some of her hobbies included knitting, bowling, going to the beach and traveling the world with Albert and many of their friends. Even though Alzheimer's Disease stole her memories from her in recent years, she could still sing almost every word to the "oldies" played during Friday happy hour at her assisted living facility.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Hardwick of Warwick, RI; daughter Karen Hardwick of Bridgewater, NJ; daughter Diane Rosi and husband David of Sunset Beach, NC; son Kenneth Hardwick and wife Andrea of Waxhaw, NC; daughter Donna Palm and husband Michael of Washington Crossing, PA; and grandchildren Lindsay DelGiudice and husband Nicholas, Sara Hardwick and Jackson Palm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to your favorite Alzheimer's charity in her honor. A celebration of Sally's life will be scheduled for a later date.
