Thomas Gilmour Obituary
AGE: 69 • Port Reading
Thomas Gilmour, 69, of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at his home. Born in Jersey City, Thomas was a longtime resident of Port Reading. He was employed by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway as an X-Ray Technician for 36 years before retiring. Thomas truly enjoyed spending time with his family including his loving wife of 42 years along with his children.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Anne Salmon; his wife, Janet Gilmour; two children, Thomas Gilmour and his wife Kerry and Karen Gilmour. Also surviving is a sister, Carol Rombough; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from the Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading followed by a 10am Mass of Resurrection at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Port Reading. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9 from 4:30pm to 8:30pm at the funeral home. At the request of the family, donations in Thomas' memory may be made to Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820. Dear Tommy, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. I usually look in the papers daily but unfortunately missed Mondays notice.
