To the Szabo family, It's sad to hear about 'Tommy' as we called him back in his days as a kid in Passaic, New Jersey. I went to school with him and played hockey on occasion. Back then he liked to play goalie. He was pretty cool back then as well. I'm quite shocked to hear he passed away. To his family - I'm very sorry for you're loss.

Dear Szabo Family:
I cannot even find the words to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Tommy's parents, my parents and several other families were part of a close-knit Hungarian community. I can remember when Tommy was born and babysat for him and the other Hungarian children on several occasions. He was a terrific kid who grew up to be a terrific adult. May God give you the strength to endure this very difficult time and may Tommy's soul rest in peace.

Liz, I am so, so sorry for your loss. Tom was, to say the least, an amazing police officer. My heart is broken for you and Nicky. You both will be in my prayers daily.

Liz and Nicky,
Please know that you two are in our hearts and prayers during this very difficult time. Tommy was an amazingly funny guy who made work "fun". There was no one in the world who could say the word "BUDDY" like Tom. Tom was a true buddy and would always help if needed. He would always talk to Craig about his bestest little buddy, and that's you, Nicky. Your Dad loved you so much. We will never ever forget him stopping over our house one Halloween dressed as KISS. How hilarious he was. We know that your hearts are empty now, but we hope that the prayers and love that are coming out to you will help comfort you during this difficult time.

With much love,
The Pattons, Craig, Colleen, Ryan, Allie, Kyle, Tyler and Sarah

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
