WALTER J. SROCZYNSKI
AGE: 77 SOUTH RIVER
Walter J. Sroczynski, 77, of South River, passed away Saturday, September 5th 2009 at his home with his family at his side. Born in South River he was a life long borough resident. Before his retirement 16 years ago he was employed by Middlesex Container Company in Milltown as a fork lift operator, in there shipping and receiving department, where he worked for 36 years, Walter was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War where he served as a medic during numerous military actions. He was a communicant of Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in South River.
He is predeceased by his parents Ludwig and Julia Sroczynski, his brother Edward Sroczynski and his sisters Josephine Pastor, Rose Galinski and Laura Odor. Surviving are his wife of 53 years Irene Mae Samson Sroczynski, his sons Walter J. Sroczynski Jr., John Sroczynski both of South River, Edward Sroczynski and his wife Arlene of Old Bridge, his daughter Lorraine Sroczynski of South River, his grandchildren Nicole, Jessica, Matthew and Julia, his great grandchildren Priya and Vijay and his sister Florence Naccarato of East Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 9am mass at Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in South River with burial to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
