Deborah Price Obituary

Deborah F. Price, 73 of Murfreesboro, TN formerly of Betterton, passed away on August 24, 2024.

Debbie was born on July 4, 1951, daughter of the late William and Marlyn Whaland Anthony. She was raised in Kennedyville and was a 1969 graduate of Chestertown High School. After her marriage to Jimmy Price in 1970 they moved to Still Pond and in 1977 made their home in Betterton. Debbie had worked for Cookerly Law Office for 10 years and the State of Maryland Upper Shore Mental Health before owning and operating a school bus. She was a life member of the Betterton V.F.C., the Kent Co. Hall of Fame and a member of Kennedyville U.M. Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, James L. Price, Sr. and her twin sister, Brenda Anthony.

She is survived by her children, James L. Price, Jr. (Beverly) of Kennedyville and Theresa Avrett (Johnie) of Murfreesboro, and six grandchildren, Kayla Price, Ashton Price, Gunnar Simpler, Cayden, Callen and Colton Avrett.

A viewing will be held on September 3, from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L Schaech, Galena, MD with service beginning at 11am. Burial will follow in Still Pond Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Galena Funeral Home to help with expenses.
