Preston Dean Obituary

Preston Lee Dean was born on June 27, 1960 to Bertha Dean and the late Severn Richardson. He was always there to help anyone, whether it be helping someone move or giving advice. Preston was a hard worker and had several jobs including with Kent County Ground Maintenance, Envirotech and Stratus.
Preston was active with the Masonic Lodge of Maryland. Preston was raised in Rising Sun Lodge #4, Milton, Del. and later became a member of Thomas H. Kiah Lodge #101, Rock Hall. He volunteered at the Haven Ministries homeless shelter. He was best known for telling everyone when every vegetable was in season and ready to harvest.
Preston found the love of his life in Pam, who was the rock that supported him during his illness. Although Preston fought a hard fight, and remained strong throughout his illness, he would constantly lean on Pam for support. The family cannot thank Pam enough for the love and support she provided to Preston. Pam, we love you and thank you for being a part/member of our family.
Preston is survived by his mother Bertha Dean; his fiancée Pamela Boyce; and his daughter Dorian Dean, whom he loved and adored. Preston also is survived by his sisters Leonyer Richardson, Bessie Floyd, Laverne Dean, Bertina Dean, Antionette Dean, Melissa Demby (Kevin), Rosette Emory, Edna Emory, Jennifer Raynor and Faith Richardson; his brothers Kevin Dean, Steven Dean, Orlando Dean and Adrian Dean (Anna); his goddaughter Kashyra Cannon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also will be fondly remembered by those special friends that he could always count on, his cousin Adonest Hall Sr., Wayne Harris, Nate Frazier, Edward Johnson Jr., Ronald Wilson, Leroy Boyce, Tracy Dean and many others.
