Not sure what to say?

I just heard about Dr. Nadine's passing and am saddened by the loss as I remember fondly my time in her chemistry classes. She had a few of us gals over for dinner one time and made us a chocolate dessert with raspberry sauce. I still have the recipe that she shared with me. Just a kind, pleasant person and a very patient teacher...I'm glad to have known her for a season.

Dr. Szczepanski was my favorite professor and my advisor when I studied Biology at MacMurray in 2000. In 2019 my husband and I (who met at MacMurray) had the opportunity to visit and found her in her office. I was pleased she remembered me, and even still had her gradebook with my exams and final grades. She continued to foster my love for biology and science, and was an inspiration. My deepest condolences to her loved ones, she will truly be missed!

Nadine was always so kind and had the sweetest smile, as well as being very humble given all her accomplishments and accolades.

My sympathies to Nadine's family. I first knew Nadine as one of my husband's first advisees in chemistry at MacMurray, and later as a faculty colleague there. Both Edward and I had great respect for her abilities as a chemist and especially as a educator, and enjoyed her wit and sense of humor. She gave much to MacMurray and will be remembered fondly by many alumni.

As President of the Jacksonville Area Food Bank I wanted to leave a brief note of thanks and appreciation for Nadine. Her generous gift this year allowed us to purchase a floor scrubber which we use daily to keep the Food Bank sanitary. This practical but important gift seems to be an excellent example of Nadine´s thoughtfulness in life. On behalf of the Food Bank, let me express our condolences and gratitude for Nadine´s life.

Nadine was a brilliant professor and had a special love of dogs. I enjoyed her wicked sense of humor and she was gracious about holding our final MacMurray faculty gatherings at her home in Jacksonville. My prayers are with her family and her beloved Jersey. I will miss you, Nadine:))
