Emma Daleyn Schwartz, 63, of Plainview passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 8, 2023 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Jacob West officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Daleyn was born on February 18, 1960 to Dale and Jane Schwartz in Lamesa, Texas. She grew up in Lamesa and graduated from high school in 1978. She then attended and graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a degree in Computer Science in 1983. Daleyn worked for Tiner Machine for many years. She also worked at State Farm, Ag Texas, and lastly at Golden Age Financial. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, very active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and Relay for life. She was a great advocate for cancer patients being a cancer survivor herself. Daleyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Jane Schwartz; brother, Michael Schwartz. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Stacy Schwartz of Midland; Stacy's parents, David & Doris Waldrop of Bronte, Texas; her uncle, Walter Schwartz and wife Sandra of Burnett, Texas; and many cousins. The family suggests that memorials in memory of Daleyn can be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3513 10th St., Lubbock, TX 79415.
