Opal McClure Obituary

Opal Faye Hill McClure SILVERTON - Funeral services for Opal Faye Hill McClure, 89, were at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Ed Norris officiating. Burial was in Silverton Cemetery by Myers-Chancellor Funeral Home of Silverton. Mrs. McClure died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007. She was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Munday to Jesse Walter and Alma Brannon. She married Richard Hill on Dec. 31, 1937, in Quitaque. He died in 1969. She then married T.V. McClure on March 6, 1970, in Plainview. He died in 1999. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Silverton and a member of Eastern Star. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Walter Richard and Dianna Hill of Plainview, Fred and Lois Hill of Canyon and Garland McClure of Walnut Grove, Calif.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Faye and Norman Pascal of Plainview and Carrol McClure of Huntsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Four brothers are deceased. The family suggests memorials to HospiceCare of the Southwest, 1500 S. Coulter Suite 3, Amarillo, TX 79106.
