She was a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II, working in Grand Prairie, Texas, building P-51 Mustangs and B-24 bombers. She was active in Extension work serving in Home Demonstration Clubs and the Texas Extension Education Association. She held many jobs and was chosen Woman of the Year in 2011. Her favorite group was United Methodist Women where she was a member over 60 years. She served in every position including district president. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her eight sisters and brothers (Ray, Eula, Laura, Alvin, Carl, Ralph, Vida and Travis), and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded by two beloved husbands, Zane Doyle and Thomas Kincaid. She is survived by four children: Susie Doyle Starnes and her husband Charles, Gena Doyle, Zane Doyle and wife Elizabeth, and Harold Kincaid and wife Kieran, five grandchildren, Chuck Starnes, Emily and Ian Charleton, Andrea and Ben Geiger, Kathryn and Matt Johnson, and Cady Kincaid, and four great-grandchildren, Griffin and Fiona Geiger, and Joey and Mason Hahn.
