David Wiggins Obituary

ANDREWS | David Clyde Wiggins, 75, a retired employee with the South Carolina Employment Security Commission, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.

He was born October 5, 1932 in Jamestown, South Carolina, a son of the late Memminger Lampkin Wiggins and the late Catherine Pipkin Wiggins Page.

Mr. Wiggins formerly owned and operated Sears, Inc. in Andrews. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he formerly served as Sunday school superintendent and had served in numerous other capacities within the church. He was a member of Harper's Masonic Lodge No. 225 in Andrews, and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle M. Wiggins; one son, David C. Wiggins II and his wife, Amy C., of Kingstree; two grandsons, David Clyde Wiggins III and Joshua Daniel Wiggins, both of Kingstree; two half-brothers, Leroy Kenneth Wiggins and David Scott Wiggins, both of Mt. Pleasant; two half-sisters, Gloria Ann Skipper of Ladson and Nina Marie Barcus of Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward M. Wiggins and Robert Wiggins.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2007 in Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Eubanks officiating. Entombment, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Graham Funeral Home.
