Died: October 27, 2025 in Rockford, IL
Adella June McGeorge, 82, of Seneca, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, from 10:00am until 11:00am at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00am. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Adella was born July 19, 1943 in Babcock, WI to Forest and Goldie (Mckeel) Fessler. She married Patrick McGeorge on March 23, 1963 at Holiness Methodist Church in Seneca. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2016.
Adella was the second oldest of 17 children. From a young age, she was always taking care of everyone. She continued this into her working career working in the cafeteria of Seneca Grade School, as a housekeeper at Seneca High School, and later as a beautician. She rarely sat still, and always loved working. In her free time she enjoyed sewing and gardening, was an excellent cook, and especially loved being a grandma to her 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Laurie) McGeorge, Steven McGeorge, Jodi (Jim) Anderson, and Patrick S. (Shannon) McGeorge; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 14 siblings.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Goldie; her husband of 53 years, Patrick; and her siblings, Joanne Hanlon and Randy Fessler.
Memorial Contributions in Adella's honor may be directed to the family.
