Andy Senica
Born: January 8, 1960 in Spring Valley, IL
Died: March 3, 2022 in Oglesby, IL
Andy Senica, 62, of Oglesby lost a courageous battle with brain cancer on March 3, 2022, in his residence. He had been surrounded by his loving family, friends and neighbors for the past three years. He was truly blessed by their continuous love and support.
A memorial visitation will be Thursday, March 10 from 4 to 7 at the Oak Ridge Golf Course in LaSalle. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
Andy was born on January 8, 1960 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley to Andrew J. and Pat (Sauter) Senica.
He was a graduate of LP High School. He continued his education at IVCC and Illinois State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design.
On June 25, 1983 at St. Mary's Church in Utica, he married Sue Duffy loving wife.
He was employed by MCS Advertising in Peru.
For many years, Andy was a member of the Illinois Valley Symphony Board, and the Oglesby School Board, and coached Oglesby girls' softball. He was a captain of the 1977 LP Cavaliers Football Team, in which later on the 1977 team was inducted into LP's Hall of Fame. He continued to play football for the IVCC Apaches, and was captain of the 1979 football team, in which later on the 1979 football team was inducted to the IVCC Hall of Fame, and the Illinois Valley Sports Hall of Fame.
He loved to be on the golf course, at a fishing pond, and gathering around the dinner table with family and friends. His family and friends were priceless to him.
He is survived by: his wife Sue of 38 years, 3 Daughters: Katie (Mike) Bernabei, MeghanSenica, and Erin (Jay) Shaw; 5 Grandchildren: Cooper, Chloe, Haley, Maggie, and James; his Mother: Pat Senica; 3 Brothers: Bill Senica, Dale (Liz) Senica, and Bob (Carrie) Senica; Mother in-law: Isabel Duffy Smith (Pete); 3 Brothers-in-law, Chris (Ann) Duffy, Mark (Sharon) Duffy, and Mike Duffy; and 13 Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by: his father Andy (2015), Paternal and Maternal Grandparents.

So sad to hear of Andy´s passing. Much love and prayer for Sue and the entire family. What a great run we had at IVCC and to be a success you must have leaders and Andy had the heart of a lion.
