Kay Engel
Kay Frances Engel, 79, of Naplate, formerly of Wadena, MN, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 23 at the Knights of Columbus in Ottawa. Private burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Kay was born on May 21, 1946, in Ottawa, to Walter and Frances (Plate) Watland. On March 5, 1966, she married Nicholas R. Engel. They had four children together.
She is survived by her four children, Kelly (Tim) Angell, Michelle (Shawn) Sauvageau, Nicholas J. Engel, and Tricia (Kevin) Mattingly; her bonus children, Scott, Anita, and Jacob Engel; nine grandchildren, Cassie (Chris) Lee, Andrew Engel, Jake Stillwell, Abbie Engel, Joe, Ryan (Jenna) Angell, Jordan, Brandon (Kyra), and Leanna Sauvageau; three great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Lincoln, and Ava; her former husband, Nicholas; her brother, Randy (Marian); and her sister-in-law, Grace Watland.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Payton Elizabeth; her parents; and her siblings, Donald, Walter, Allen, Rodney, Debbie, and Becky.
