"Albert "Ace" Thomas Kjellesvik of Oswego IL, 76, passed away peacefully at his home and surrounded by loving family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on August 11, 2025.

Born on January 25, 1949, in Morris IL, Ace lived his years to the fullest with a contagious laugh and zest for life.

He was self-employed for many years. He then built a long and dedicated career as a maintenance supervisor where his skills, resourcefulness, and quick wit earned the respect of all who knew him.

Ace is survived by his wife Vicki of 56 years. They married on June 30, 1969, and welcomed 3 daughters and a son in the years to come. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Their marriage was a beautiful testament of devotion that inspired all who knew them.

He was a beloved father to Kelly (Troy) Rieser, Kim (Dan) Thorpen, Chris Kjellesvik, and Cara (Adam) Estrada. He was a doting grandfather to Jake (Brooke) and Lindsey Rieser, Sydney, Cole, Jarrid and Lyla Thorpen, and Kohlei Kjellesvik. He was a great grandfather to Kayden, Zayne, Ryker and Skyler Sibert, Lucas Thorpen, and Duncan Rieser. He was also a fun-loving brother-in-law to Dennis Davidson. Above all, Ace loved spending time with his family and pets- his greatest joy in life came from the love he had for those around him.

Ace had many hobbies that he enjoyed throughout his life. He loved performing air guitar to classic rock music, collecting old coins, shopping at Menards, cheering on the Chicago Bears (reluctantly at times), sipping on Gentleman Jack and Coke, and proudly celebrating his Norwegian heritage. He could often be found outside-whether working in the yard or tackling a new project. A true fixer at heart, Ace always found something to build, repair, or improve, and he took pride in the amazing work he accomplished. He will be deeply missed, but his family takes comfort in knowing what a beautiful life he built.

The family will honor Ace's legacy in a private celebration of life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Naperville Humane Society. "
