Deanie was born in Lower Chanceford Township on February 21, 1945, to the late H. Wilson and Nora E. (Kilgore) Burns. She worked at Barten's Orchard where she sorted apples, in housekeeping with Markey's Building and Maintenance and most recently at Jerry's Grocery where she was employed as a baker. She loved needlepoint, her cats and was a true "farm girl" at heart.
Deanie leaves her brothers, John "Harold" Burns of Felton and Clyde Burns of Brogue. She leaves several nieces and nephews as well, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Junior, Billy, Milton, Charlie, and her sister, Ruth.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Chanceford Presbyterian Cemetery. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Deanie's memory may be offered to Chanceford Presbyterian Church, 1784 Woodbine Road, Airville, PA 17302.

I wish I could have stopped down for a visit one more time. I will always findly remember my visits with my dad to the farm, playing with all the kittens and learning about farming and family history from you. Rest easy
