Geoffrey Burns, beloved son, brother, father, and uncle, age 54, of Red Rock, Texas, passed away on August 5, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 23, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bastrop, Tx.
Geoff was born in Waco, Texas on April 1, 1971, to Tommy and Linda Burns. Geoff was an avid musician and music-lover. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar for his church, Grace Baptist Church of Red Rock, Texas, and at various nursing homes in the Bastrop area. Geoff always enjoyed a good joke, a good laugh, and spending time with family and friends. He loved to play games and was always quick with the right trivia answer, regardless of how obscure the question. Geoff was known for being easy going, and he was full of humor, wit, and dedication. He loved the Lord, and he loved his family and friends.
Geoff is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Vergie Argabright of Waco, Texas, and Guthry Noel Burns and Veda Burns Salmans of McGregor, Texas., one dear uncle, precious aunt, and one niece.
Geoff is survived by his son, Christopher; parents, Tommy and Linda Burns of Red Rock, Texas; sisters (and their families), Helissa Eichholtz, Melea Williams, and Alison Shaw (and husband, Les, both of Bastrop); beloved aunts and uncles; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all rejoice that, though he is greatly missed, they will see him again in eternity with our Lord.
