Aaron Brewster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crevasse's Simple Cremation - Gainesville from Jan. 29 to Jan. 30, 2026.
Aaron Gilmore "A.G." Brewster, age 78, of Cedar Bluff, passed away on January 26, 2026.

Born on June 5, 1947, in Cedar Bluff, Virginia, A.G. lived a life defined by service, dedication, integrity, and kindness. While he resided in Gainesville, Florida, since 2021, the vast majority of his life was spent in Virginia.

A.G. spent much of his life working in the coal mines, supporting his family, managing his used car sales business (Dandee's Inc.), and serving on the Board of Directors at First Sentinel Bank. He believed deeply in giving back, always putting the needs of friends, family, and even strangers ahead of his own.

A.G. proudly served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Specialist Fourth Class (SP4), earning an honorable discharge, and receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Rifle Badge. The sense of duty he carried from his Army service stayed with him throughout his life, reflected in how he showed up for his family and community.

Above all, A.G. was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose love for his family was steady and unwavering. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, trips to the beach, listening to music, and spending time with the people he loved.

He is survived by Aaron Glen Brewster (son), Wendi Brewster (daughter-in-law), Robert Brewster (grandson), Leigh Anne Brewster (daughter), her fiance, William "Bill" Miller, as well as nephews, cousins, and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Brewster; his mother, Gladys Elswick; his father, William Wade Brewster; his brother, Simuel Brewster; and his sisters, Inez Wallace and Ruby Dye.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Brewster family.
