Aaron Lee Dodd, age 45, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Aaron was born on February 7, 1979, to Larry Dodd and the late Marion Dodd (Neel).
Aaron attended East Fairmont High School. He was an employee of the Times West Virginian and worked as a pressman. He enjoyed card collecting, watching various sporting events, listening to music, and visiting the beach.
In addition to his father, Aaron is survived by his sister, Lori Fancher of Fairmont: Nephews Jonathan and Dakota Fancher of Fairmont; Grandmother Irene Dodd; Aunts and Uncles: Marlene and David Dodd of Florida, Joe and Judy LaGamba of Florida, and Nancy Tenny of Texas; Cousins: Jason and Chris Dodd of Fairmont, Penny Tucholski of Florida, Claudio LaGamba of Florida, and Tracy Amador of Texas. Aaron is also survived by friends: Jeremy Hayhurst, Frankie Copen, Jimmy Valentine, Jessie Valentine, Karl Johnson, and David Ice.
In addition to his mother, Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents: grandfather Robert Dodd, grandfather Edward Neel, and Grandmother Bernice Neel; Aunts and Uncles: Darlene Dodd of Florida, Richard Dodd of Fairmont, Patsy Dodd of Fairmont, and Lynn Dodd of Florida.
The family would like to thank Aaron's nurses and aides for all the love and care they gave to Aaron while caring for him: Courtney McKnight, Angie Thobis, and Brittney with West Virginia Care. A special thank you also goes to everyone at the Anmoore Rescue Squad, the Fairmont Rescue Squad, and the Fairmont Fire Department.
Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Scott Krepps officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, West Virginia.
