Our hearts are heavy as we announce the loss of Aaron M. Martin, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend to many, who passed away on June 10, 2025.
Aaron was cherished by many and while he was often misunderstood, he had a gentle soul. His true nature was frequently overlooked due to his tough exterior. Aaron was the kind of person who genuinely cared for others. He kept a small circle of friends and his family close, preferring deep connections. Aaron fought unseen battles and for many years tried to hide his suffering. Aaron simply wanted to be loved for who he was.
Aaron worked side by side with his father, brother, and brother-in-law since he was a teenager; he learned to work with concrete through hands-on experience. From an early age, Aaron developed a passion for fishing, finding connection with nature and a sense of relaxation. Aaron enjoyed playing on a coed softball team with his eldest sister and brother-in-law where he was known as "kid". In his free time, Aaron enjoyed watching and playing basketball and video games. While Aaron struggled to show emotions, one thing that is certain is that he had a great love for his family friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter H. Libby Jr., and his grandmother, Anna M. Jipson. He is survived by his parents, Wade and Victoria Jipson of Leeds; his grandmother, Phyllis Libby; his son, Carter Wesley Martin of South Paris; his daughter, Everleigh Elizabeth Martin of Winthrop; his sister, Amanda Tardiff and her husband Jeremy, along with their children, Hunter and Avree Tardiff of Oxford; his sister, Ashley Simmons and her husband Brian of Camden; his brother, Patrick Jipson of Lewiston; and many friends.
