It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Aaron Chang McCarter, who left us on January 17, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on September 26, 1988, Aaron embraced life with an adventurous spirit and an unquenchable curiosity that led him on countless journeys across the globe.Aaron was a lover of the outdoors. Whether he was hiking on the trails of Taiwan or the Wasatch Range, or pushing his physical and mental limits in crossfit sessions. He thrived in nature and fitness alike. His passion for exploration extended beyond physical boundaries; he was an avid traveler whose adventures enriched his life and inspired those around him.In addition to his adventurous pursuits, Aaron was a gifted writer and a published author. His love for words and storytelling perfectly complemented the vivid experiences of his life, and he often wove his travels into his writing. With an MBA in Marketing from Utah Valley University, Aaron had ambition and intellect that he applied not only to his professional pursuits but also to the stories he crafted and shared.Aaron was known for his warm spirit, cheerful smile, and an unwavering ability to see beauty in the world. He was a son, brother, uncle and friend whose sincere interest in connecting with others made everyone around him feel seen and heard.

He is survived by his parents, Allen and Beverley. His siblings, Aimee (Tom) Brown, Anna McCarter, Alyssa (Nathan) Prescott and five nephews and a niece. He will be deeply missed.

In celebration of Aaron's life and the legacy he leaves behind, friends and family honored him at a memorial graveside service that took place on February 17, 2026 at 12:00pm at the Highland City Cemetery.
