Aaron Leonard Peterson, age 68, passed away while surrounded by his family in Grand Rapids, MI, on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Aaron was born to Jack and Ruby (Sharp) Peterson in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, on May 31, 1957. On May 8, 1982, he married the former Paula Robart, and the two of them spent 43 wonderful years building a family together. Aaron was a calm man, he loved to go fishing, especially on the big lake. He was a strong man and was very protective of his family. He enjoyed going to the races and demolition derby with his family, and he felt most at home when he was operating heavy machinery or driving a truck. A good man is hard to find, and Aaron was one of the best. Aaron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Paula Peterson; two children: Brandon (Tray) Campbell and Cameron (Jim Jr.) Evans; three grandchildren: Colton (Madison Norkett) Campbell, and Benjamin and Thomas Evans; great-grandson, Greyson; two siblings, Harvey Peterson and Sandra (Sandy) Church; mother in-law, Geraldine Robart; sister in-law, Tammy (Duane) Chall; and brother in-law Steven (Dorinda) Robart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald "Stump" Peterson, and father in-law, Vernon Robart. A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Ravenna Free Methodist Church. Arrangements by The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St, Ravenna, MI, 49451.
