Binkley Ross Family of Funeral HomesAaron Ray Presley, age 85, passed away on December 3, 2025, in Carrier Mills, Illinois.
He was born on March 6, 1940, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Vernon Elvis Presley and Mary Lue Garrison. On April 22, 1978, he married Mary E. (Turnipseed) Gullo, and together they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage.
Aaron worked as a foreman for a steel company, but his heart was always drawn to music. In his youth, he sang and played guitar in a rock ’n’ roll band, carrying with him a lifelong passion for the sound that defined his generation. He was especially devoted to the music and legacy of Elvis Presley, whose songs and spirit brought him joy throughout his life.
Beyond music, Aaron enjoyed following the stock market, watching Fox News, and keeping up with boxing and horse racing. He loved television in all its variety and found excitement in playing the lottery.
Aaron was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marion, where he found fellowship and strength in his community.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Mary Lindley; his son, David (Beth) Lindley; and their children: DJ A. Lindley, Ian P. Dunn, and Wyatt M. Dunn. He is also survived by his niece, Stella Ramirez; his great-nephews, David Ramirez and Alex Ramirez; and his great-niece, Sandra Ramirez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kenneth Lindley, and his sister Vera May Lindley.
Aaron’s life was lived to the soundtrack of Elvis, and his spirit will forever dance to that music.
