Aaron Sass, 29, passed away on August 11, 2023. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Ellen Sass; brothers, Brian (Kris) Sass-Hurst and Matthew (Katie) Sass; nephews, Ezra and Charlie; grandfather, Homer Sass; and many extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 16 at Congregation Beth Tikvah, 6121 Olentangy River Rd, Worthington, OH with internment to follow at Green Lawn cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Aaron's memory to Columbus Humane (www.columbushumane.org) or a charity of their choice.
Aaron was born and raised in Columbus. He attended Worthington City Schools and The Ohio State University. He became a fellow in the Casualty Actuarial Society upon passing all of his exams. Aaron excelled academically and athletically. He was a pole vaulter for the WKHS track and field team, and played soccer and football.
Aaron easily met and made many meaningful friendships that lasted into adulthood. He and his friends loved playing video games together on weekends to unwind. He used his sharp intelligence to routinely hone his chess skills.
His longtime partner, Molly Berlin, and he had a great love for their dog Philbert. Aaron enjoyed traveling, exploring, and jokes. He took great pride in perfecting his crafts of cooking, baking, and coffee brewing.
With family, Aaron always took special attention to young cousins and nephews, to keep them entertained. He was a loving brother and was always willing to help out when needed.
We will all miss him very much.
