Abbie Valencia was born August 30, 1951 in Crowell, Texas to Antonio "Tony" Valencia and Mary Magdalene Hurd. Abbie attended Phoenix Union High School where he excelled in auto mechanic shop. Abbie was a genius in his own way. Abbie was the kind of man whod lend a hand, then crack a joke while doing it. Sarcasm? Second nature. Dad jokes? Practically a love language. He gave freely, laughed often, and somehow passed down his big heart, sharp wit and legendary eye rolls to both his son Paul and granddaughter Michelle (Lucky Them). He found peace with a fishing rod in hand - probably because fish could NOT talk back. That was his therapy, quiet, steady, and patient, with little muttering under his breath. He may be gone from the room, but we still feel him here. Smirking at our tears, whispering "Dont make it too sappy". So well just say this: Thank you grandpa for the laughs, the love, the legacy. You reeled in more hearts than fish.Abbie was preceded in death by his parents, Mother Mary Hurd and Tony Valencia; and his son Paul Wimbush.Abbie leaves to cherish his memory his father, Emmett L. Hurd; brothers Jerry King (Cheryl), Michael King, Sr., and Danny King, all of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren Michelle Wimbush and Kenya Colbert; his great-grandchildren Abrianna, Tyronne, Tayvion, Levi, Aminah, Harrison, and Naomi all of Phoenix, Arizona; his special "Bingo" friend Linda Brunson; and a ton of nieces, nephews and friends."To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"II Corinthians 5:8 Take your rest Uncle Babywell deserved!
