Abdollah Sharifi Obituary

Abdollah Nasser Sharifi passed away peacefully in Columbus, Ohio, where he had lived for the past ten years. Born in Hamadan, Iran, Abdollah was a devoted father, scholar, and lover of the outdoors.
He and his wife, Mahin Sharifi Rahnemoon, immigrated to the United States in the 1990s. Their bond endured for decades until Mahin's passing two years ago.
Abdollah taught college-level history and sociology and had an encyclopedic knowledge of world geography. He was also a farmer, an avid bird and big game hunter, and a passionate watercolor painter. He often spoke fondly of his first bird dogs, Phidle and Lucy.
He is survived by his children-Azin Sharifi, Golnar Prudomme, Firoozeh Meinecke, and Mehrdad N. Sharifi-and their families. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
