Thomas J. Barnes Sr. Obituary
Thomas James Barnes Sr., passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025.
Thomas was born April 2, 1940 in Friendsville, Maryland to Marjorie (Marty) and James Barnes.
Thomas previously lost his beloved wife of 60 years, Bonita in 2021.
He is survived by his 3 children Robin (Ron) McCaslin of Cincinnati, Thomas Barnes Jr. of New Carlisle and Tony (Donna) Barnes of Springfield. Grandchildren Amber Hughes, Toni Barnes, Ryan Barnes, Alexander Rin McCaslin, Sarah Barnes, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Thomas is also survived by his brothers Donald and Robert Barnes.
In 1969 Thomas & Bonita moved to New Carlisle from Dayton to raise their family and start a successful window cleaning business. They worked together with their sons until they retired, turning over the business to Tony & Thomas Jr. Thomas was an animal lover, avid bowler, hunter and fisherman.
Thomas was very proud of his business accomplishments and his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 12pm to 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 1pm also at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of Dayton for the love and support that was shown to the family and Thomas during this difficult time.
