Richard “Dicky” Barnes, age 84, of Moraine, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Sycamore Hospital on September 22, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frend Barnes and Viola (Barnes) Speaks, and multiple siblings.
He is survived by his son Richard (Shelby) Barnes of New Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Shelly (Doug) Barnes-Mabis of Radcliff, Kentucky; brother Bob (Cledith) Barnes of Gratis, Ohio; sister Virginia Leonard of Franklin, Ohio; sister Brenda Smith of Moraine, Ohio; brother Monty (Wilma) Barnes of Centerville, Ohio; and multiple grandchildren as well as great grandchildren.
Dicky was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He owned Sport Motors Incorporated in Cincinnati, Ohio. He loved fixing things and was a great mechanic. Dicky also loved listening to Blues music.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. We encourage you to reflect on the good times you shared with him. Dicky will be laid to rest at Hillgrove Cemetery in Miamisburg.
