Abraham Cewood Williams (Butchie) Jr. was born to Abraham Cewood Williams Sr. and Allessia Willams on August 3, 1941.
Funeral Services will be Saturday April 13, 2024, at 2:30pm at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. The visitation will be Friday April 12, 2024, at Elmwood Funeral home. A burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Abraham attended Booker T Washington in Breckenridge, Texas. Later attended Manual Arts in Los Angeles California where he graduated. Later he married in this union, he had one son Raymond Williams. Abraham then moved back to Breckenridge where he met the love of his life Lynda Tate. They married in that union they had 4 children and adopted a nephew. While in Breckenridge he worked at Fort Waters.
Abraham attended Bethel Baptist Church and as a child, later in life attended Williamson Chapel with his wife and children.
In 1971 the family moved to California where he was a Peace Officer for Compton Unified School District. He attended the Church of Christ.
In 1983 he moved back to Texas where he was a jailer at the Taylor County Jail and was a truck driver for 23 years.
Our King was devoted to his entire family. He leaves to morn him, his wife Lynda Faye Tate Williams, Son's Raymond Williams, Rodney Williams (Helen), A'mard Williams (Bonnie), Kelly Williams (Dora), Malcolm Tate (Dawn), Daughters, Shannon Fields (Gerome), Loretta Cockrell (Anthony), Sisters, Katrina Porter, Amelia Hilmon, Linda Warren, Yolanda Hambrick, Amber Williams, Brothers, Keith Williams and Adrian C. Williams, a Sister-in-law Marsha Alexander, a Uncle C.M. Williams, A host of nieces, nephews, cousin, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Abraham was preceded in death by his Father Abraham C. Williams Sr., Mother Allessia Polk and Stepdad Bo Polk, Brothers Dwight Williams, Charles Williams, Ronald Williams, Sylvester Polk, Sister Wanda Rhea Enix, Mother-in-law, Bernistein Tate, Brother-in-law, Billy Ray Stiggers, Henry Tate Jr., Sister-in-law, Mary Tate, Ladonna Williams, Beverly Williams, Reba Williams, Edith Stiggers. Nieces, Kimberly Enix and Mylliah Royals, Nephew Derek Howell.
