Ada Jessie Coe, age 104, of Litchfield, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. She was born on April 11, 1921, in Ypsilanti to John and Edith (Bastian) Caroen. She married Kenneth Clarence Coe, the love of her life, on May 8, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 2012.
She graduated from Ypsilanti Central High School class of 1939 and went on to graduate from Cleary Business College in Ypsilanti. She worked at the Michigan Employment Security Commission, secretary at Bryan Manufacturing in Reading, and Secretary at Plymouth Flush Door in Litchfield. She spent most of her life in Michigan, also lived in Kendallville, Indiana where she was a secretary at Essex Wire. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Her family was the joy of her life and she loved them dearly.
Ada is survived by her siblings, Barbara Hodges, Marcia Rice, and Jack Caroen; son-in-law, Leo Barr, and one grandson, Tyson Barr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; two children, Sharleen Ada Coe Barr and Theodore Allen Coe; siblings, Irma Epple, Virginia O'Neal, Ellen Duvall, Harold Caroen, Alfred Caroen, and Stanley Caroen.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services for Ada Coe. Private interment will take place at Mt. Hope cemetery in Litchfield. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home George White Chapel in Litchfield.
