Ada Mae Courter, of Anderson, Indiana, a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on August 10, 2025.
Ada was born August 2nd, 1931 in Dearborn County, IN, the 5th child of Clarence & Della Rumsey. Ada married Benjamin C. Courter on July 24, 1947, whom she was married to for 27 years & had four children with.
Ada retired from Seagram's Distillery after 30 plus years and lived a long full life. She demonstrated her boundless love for her family, friends & neighbors thru taking care of them by cooking, baking, and always staying in contact. Ada always had a kind heart, gentle hand, was quick to love & slow to get angry. She always tried to find the best in everyone & was one of the most positive people you could ever meet. She was loved by everyone that had the good fortune to meet her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children: Sharen Meyers, Cindy (Gary) Funkhouser, Calvin (Margo) Courter, Jerry (Carol) Courter. Grandchildren:Nikki (Jim) Wiseman, Hank (Jayma) Meyers,Jeremy (Andrea) Funkhouser, Lauren (Phil) Gordon, Brandon (Shawna) Courter, Evan Courter.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, her son-in-law Phil Meyers, granddaughter Amy Meyers, and her special friend James Pribble.
FUNERAL: Friends will be received Saturday, August 16, 2025, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hogan Hill Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to an organization of your choice.
