Ada Mae Waldron passed away peacefully at the age of 95, at her home in Longview, surrounded by loved ones, on August 8, 2025. She was born on November 22, 1929 in Beckville, TX, to Robert Lee Sipes and Ada Brightwell Sipes.
Ada Mae was a graduate of Hallsville High School. She married Millard Fillmore Waldron on August 9, 1947, and they were married for 61 years. Ada Mae chose to be a full-time homemaker, proudly dedicating herself to her family and her home.
She is survived by her children Phillip Douglas Waldron and wife Patricia Waldron of Rowlett, Kenneth Waldron of Longview, Janis (Waldron) Guill of Longview, and Barbara (Waldron) Roberts and husband Anthony Roberts of Longview. She is survived by grandchildren Jason Waldron of Dallas, Lindsay (Waldron) Kelley of Tyler, Lucas Roberts of Lufkin, Julie (Roberts) Phillips of Denton, Brandon Hallman of Longview, Jennifer (Hallman) Avey of Tyler, Kevin Martin of Florida, and Tammy Martin of Longview. She is also survived by sister Katheryn Noll of Longview, brother-in-law Gerald Cooper of Longview, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bobbie and Jimmy Godwin of Spring and brother-in-law and sister-in-law B. F. and Marilyn Waldron of Longview. Ada Mae is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ada Mae is preceded in death by husband Millard Fillmore Waldron, grandson Kevin Waldron, brothers A.L. Sipes and James Sipes, and sisters Olivia Cooper and Effie McComb.
Ada Mae voiced many times that she was ready to go and be with her Savior. She will forever be remembered for her beauty, inside and out, her humorous stories, and her love for her family.
She will be deeply and dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at 10 am, with a funeral to follow at 11 am at Welch Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 12.
The family sends the warmest and sincerest thank you to Hospice of East Texas for the amazing, compassionate, and loving care that was given to Mom (Memaw) in her last days, with a special thank you to Stacy and Jessica. Donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
