Adam K. Gill

Adam K. Gill, of Hammond, LA, lost his battle to cancer on June 9, 2023, in his home surrounded by family and friends at the age 50. Adam was an active member in our community. He was a middle school teacher at Champ Cooper Elementary and a volunteer basketball coach where he loved to coach his daughters' teams. Adam was an avid sports fan and a huge fan of LSU. He loved to listen to music, specifically classic rock. His wife, Dale, and daughters, Sydney and Carlea, were the lights of his life. Adam was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. To know him was to love him. He will be greatly missed by many. Adam was survived by his wife of 16 years, Dale Brassette Gill; 2 daughters Sydney and Carlea Gill; mother Beckie Rhenette Beck and stepfather Barry Beck; father Kenneth Gill; brother Kenneth Gill Jr., sisters Wendy Gill and Kari Gill; and his lifelong best friends Mitchell Harper, Shawn McKee, and Michael Core. Adam was preceded by his grandparents Prentiss and Sadie Mae Carter and Edra Mae Lea and Jewel Smith. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Cornerstone Church of Amite, on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until religious service at 1:00 p.m., and interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery.
