Adam Lozier Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 22, 2025.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Adam's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, beginning at 4 p.m., at Community Presbyterian Church, 811 Gorham Lane Kalamazoo, MI 49006. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lozier Children's Education Fund, (checks payable to Amanda Lozier), c/o the funeral home.
Age 46, of Kalamazoo, passed away of natural causes at his home on January 17, 2025. He was born in Kalamazoo on December 7, 1978. Adam was kind, generous, and loving, with the best sense of humor, a contagious smile, and a joke for every occasion. Following high school graduation, he pursued his passion for NASCAR where he worked in public relations and marketing for assorted teams. After a medical roadblock derailed that pursuit, he met the love of his life, Amanda (Pumfrey) Lozier, starting his greatest and favorite adventure marrying on May 27, 2012. Together they made their home in Kalamazoo and began raising a family. With the encouragement of Amanda, he pursued higher education earning an Associate's Degree from KVCC. While there he joined Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity serving as chapter president. He then earned a Bachelor's and Master's in Sport Management from Western Michigan University. Adam was a deeply involved dad, and his children were his purpose. He loved watching the kids grow; took time to be involved in their activities, including girl and cub scouts, enjoyed family game nights, and was most happy when the laughter of his children was near. He had many hobbies and loved NASCAR, Star Wars, Disney, and was an avid gamer. He found great joy in traveling with his family; creating memories and adventures that his family will carry with them forever. Above all Adam loved all those he considered family. He leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish and will be missed by all those who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Lozier; children, Kennedy and Benny Lozier; siblings, Danielle (Patrick) McGuire, and Brandon (Brandi) Gossett; in-laws, Val and Lou Kurkerwicz; chosen brothers, Jason (Erin) Chapman and Keith (Sam) Moore; grandmother, Joan Bartz; parents, Ed and Vicki Haas; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to his great love of his two children, he also cared for and felt love and compassion for all the children in his life including those in Scouts and the school drop-off/pickup line. The kids looked forward to interacting with Mr. Adam (sometimes known as George or Steve) as he playfully told them to have a horrible day with a high five as they headed into school. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances Mancour, Francis Loser, and his wife Ruth.

I'm so sorry to the whole family. Adam used to baby sit me and my sister a lot growing up being a older cousin. He really inspired me to strive to be the best aunt I can be for my nephew like he was his nieces and nephew. He will definitely be missed.

I remember the day he was born, there was a snow storm that moved into the Kalamazoo area. His arrival brought sunshine to an otherwise cold and gloomy day.
