Adam Ruggiero

Adam Joseph Michael Ruggiero, born December 11, 1987, in Bellaire, Ohio, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Wheeling, West Virginia, at the age of 37.
A man of many talents and boundless curiosity, Adam was a gifted musician whose passion for the piano was evident to all who had the privilege of hearing him play. Music was the driving force in his life, a source of joy and expression that he shared generously with everyone around him. Beyond his musical talents, Adam possessed a profound inquisitiveness, always eager to learn and understand the world, even from a young age. His interests were wide-ranging, reflecting his faith as a Christian while embracing a genuine curiosity about Islam.
Adam found joy in life's simple pleasures, including crocheting, cooking, and bringing laughter to those around him. He touched countless lives with his warmth and humor, truly a friend to everyone he met. His compassion and creativity were further exemplified when he became the inspiration and driving force behind founding the social group "Something Sober" in the Ohio Valley area.
He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Ruggiero; biological mother, Margo Rhodes; grandmothers Citie Ruggiero and Grandma Lou; and sister, Connie Ballard.
Surviving Adam are his beloved mother Cindy Ruggiero; siblings Michelle Cieslewski, Rick (Laura) Murdock, Brandi Ruggiero (Sean Krack), Ashley Ruggiero (Eric Moore), Kayla Mellum (Jimmy Chervonaut), Alexis Ruggiero (Damian Garlitz), and Abby Ruggiero (Paul Toth); along with several aunts, uncles, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Among his many cherished friends, his long time friend, Rosella Lacey, helped with his care, and his lifelong best friend, Adam Mountain, stood by him unwaveringly. His nieces and nephews, who affectionately called him "Uncly," were a particular source of pride and joy for him.
At the request of the family, there will be no services. A private celebration of Adam's life will be held at a later date at Edgewater Park in Cleveland, Ohio.
