ADELAIDA SALDIVAR SALAIZ
EDINBURG - Adelaida Saldivar Salaiz, 85, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in McAllen. Adelaida was born in Santa Maria, Texas on December 16, 1937 to Pablo and Florinda Saldivar. She loved the Cowboys, spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed family gatherings. She was a retired Insurance Agent. Mrs. Salaiz was preceded in death by her husband, Abelardo Salaiz Sr.; her son, Jerry Salaiz; two brothers, Israel Saldivar and Ernesto Saldivar.
Mrs. Salaiz is survived by her children, Eddie (Carol) Salaiz of Dallas, Abelardo "Abel" (Yolanda) Salaiz Jr. of Denver, Richard (Mari) Salaiz of Edinburg, David (Cheryl) Salaiz of McAllen, Cynthia Salaiz of Edinburg, and Sandra (Saul) Garza of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Norma Salaiz; eight siblings, Pablo Saldivar Jr., Jose Saldivar, Jesus Saldivar, Maria Gutierrez, Esperanza Salinas, Elida Garcia, Noemi Saldivar and Liza Perez; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a 5 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.
Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
