Adele T. Vanden Heuvel, age 96, of Green Bay passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family.
Adele was born February 4, 1929, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Henry and Frances (Wildgans) Ver Haagh. She attended St Joseph Academy High School in Green Bay. Adele was united in marriage with Marvin J. Vanden Heuvel on September 11, 1948, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Duck Creek. Marvin preceded her in death on April 5, 2015. Adele was an active member of the Nativity of Our Lord Parish.
Adele cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and siblings. Adele enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, having lunch with "the girls," watching and feeding birds in her yard, gardening, pumping the player piano and singing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and attending Packer tailgates whether at home or at Lambeau Field. Adele was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. Everyone was always welcome in her home where you could find a cup of coffee, kind words and a place to relax and enjoy life. Adele also appreciated hard work outside the home and education for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She encouraged each of her children and grandchildren to find their own path and assisted them along the way. She believed that there was nothing you could not achieve if you tried hard and put your faith in God.
Adele was the best friend of many because she was caring, honest, loyal and a good person all around. She was a devoted wife and mother who was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone.
Adele is survived by and deeply missed by her children: Linda (Daniel Dineen) Vanden Heuvel, Mark (Sue) Vanden Heuvel, Jeff (Cathy O'Connor) Vanden Heuvel, Tim (Mary) Vanden Heuvel, Lisa (Charlie Pignotti) Vanden Heuvel, and Henry (Lisa) Vanden Heuvel; ten precious grandchildren: Aaron (Lexi) Vanden Heuvel, Andrea (John) Leszko, Jennifer (Timothy) Richter, Daniel (Alicia) Dineen, Nathan (Colleen Nordin) Dineen, Mitchell (Marissa Riordan) Pignotti, Maxwell Pignotti, Jacob Vanden Heuvel, Cecilia Vanden Heuvel, and Claire Vanden Heuvel; and twelve great grandchildren: Mia Leszko, Ali Leszko, August Richter, Drew Leszko, Brynlee Dineen, Adele Richter, Declan Dineen, Jace Dineen, Rory Dineen, Apollo Vanden Heuvel, Vayle Ballweg, and Bella Ballweg.
Adele is further survived by her siblings: Veronica Rudnick, Anna Roffers, and Norbert (Elaine) Ver Haagh.
Adele was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Frances Ver Haagh; her husband: Marvin Vanden Heuvel; son: Christopher Vanden Heuvel; and her siblings: Mary Kimps, Rita Pamperin, Joseph Ver Haagh, Walter Ver Haagh, and Audrey Daul.
