Simply Cremation - Green BayDevin Haslanger, age 26, of Green Bay, went to heaven unexpectedly on August 23, 2025. His struggle with depression leading to addiction was a chapter of his life, but not his entire story. He was so much more. A son. A brother. An uncle. A nephew. A cousin. A friend. We will all remember him for his infectious laughter and gentle spirit, which he shared generously with everyone he met. He found a deep love for cooking, skateboarding, writing songs and creating his own music. He found beauty in simple things, such as nature. For those who truly knew him, he brought so much joy. We take comfort in knowing that Devin is surrounded by light, free from the struggle that consumed him.
Devin was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on March 28, 1999, to his parents Andrea (Skaleski) Haslanger and Michael Haslanger. He attended Preble High School. Devin was never tied to any one job, but he succeeded at everything he took on.
Devin will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his loving mother, Andrea (Skaleski) Haslanger; his father, Michael Haslanger; his sister, Bailey (Brandon) Lindsley; his nephews, Ryker and Maveryck; grandmother, Phyllis (Degroot) Skaleski; grandparents, Mark and Jan Haslanger; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He especially cherished Andrea, his mother, who held a special place in his heart. She never gave up on him and loved him unconditionally. His beloved sister, Bailey and nurturing grandmother, Phyllis, brought endless love, strength and encouragement to his life.
He is preceded in death by; his grandpa, Robert Skaleski; his uncle, Lance Skaleski; and cousin, April Kalous.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Malcore Funeral Home on 1530 West Mason Street in Green Bay from 1pm-3pm.
In honor of Devin’s life, our family encourages you to support those struggling with depression and addiction and help break the stigma surrounding the disease.
