Adolph "A.J." E. Jaster, 75, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA.
A.J. was born on February 25, 1950, in Waco, Texas, the son of the late Alfred and Rosalie (Grossman) Jaster. He proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, A.J. had a fulfilling career as an auto mechanic with Firestone Complete Auto Care in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where his expertise was well respected.
A.J. was a member of American Legion Post 109 in Mechanicsburg and a Mason belonging to J.H. Gurley Lodge #337 in Waco, Texas. His passion for automobiles was evident; he had an abiding love for classic cars and also liked attending drag races. Known for his sharp wit and endearing sarcasm, he brought joy and laughter to those fortunate enough to know him. He will be sorely missed by his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Catherine S. (Rozowski) Jaster; his daughter Ginger Lyons and her husband Clint of Mechanicsburg; and his cherished twin grandchildren, Hunter Lyons and his fiancée Rea of Nashville, Tennessee, and Dr. Courtney Lyons and her partner Dylan of Richmond, Virginia.
A.J. was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Stapp.
Funeral services will be conducted in honor of A.J. at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Myers-Baker Funeral Home, located at 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. A viewing will precede the service from 9:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Interment will be private, taking place at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.
