Adolph Weber Lopez Sr. journeyed on from this world on September 3, 2024. He was born in Bexar, Texas on October 3, 1939, to Agustine Lopez and Celia Weber, the youngest of 9 children.

He was raised on his family farm in Atascosa, Texas, and was a graduate of Southwest High School. Upon graduating, he traveled throughout the States working as a farm hand until settling in Junction, Texas where he enjoyed his time as a Ranch foreman.

While in Junction, Texas he became father to 4 children, Ruth Ann Canfield (Son-in-Law Jay Canfield), Adolph W. Lopez Jr.(Daughter-in-law Teresa Delaney), Martha Jean Gonzales (nee Lopez), and Mary Alice Cavazos (nee Lopez). He later moved back to Atascosa, Texas where he reunited with and married his High School sweetheart Mary Alice Ingle, for whom he spent 50 years of marriage, with this union, he welcomed to his family Cynthia Ann Olivarri (Son-in-law Roland Gonzales), Theresa May Huron, Adam Anthony Huron, Naomi Jean Huron, and the late Rene Richard Huron. Together they celebrated the birth of their last child Adrian Adolph Lopez (Daughter-in-Law Izel Garcia).

Adolph was a proud Alumnus of Texas State University where he received his Associate of Arts in Secondary Education. He served as a General Construction Trades teacher and Bus driver for Southwest ISD for 33 years where he became a friend and mentor to many students and fellow Teachers and staff. During his years in General Construction Trades, he participated in the VOCT/VICA programs where he taught and led his students to numerous competitions winning District and State titles along the way.

His passion for teaching skills and trades opened the pathway for his students to choose a successful career. Many continued with the knowledge and skills he taught and became small business owners, Homebuilders, Custom cabinet makers, and Industry professionals.

He welcomed all into his heart and his home and after retirement continued to teach and share with others his skills and hobbies in cooking, fishing, hunting, and his love of history and the outdoors. He enjoyed visiting and sharing many stories of his youth and his brothers. To his Family, friends, and students he was known as “POP” but to his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he will forever be remembered as Grandpa.

He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his family, friends, and everyone he taught and shared his life with.
