Gregory J. Lopez, cherished dad, grandpa, son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 64. Born to George and Margaret Lopez on September 1, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Lopez. Greg is survived by his siblings—sister Anna Marie Villa and brothers Gabriel, Gilbert, and Gary Lopez. He leaves behind his beloved children, Crystal (Jon Caceres), Gregory, and Alexandra, as well as six grandchildren, Angelina, David, Isaiah, Arielle, Chloe, and Gregory JR III.

Greg graduated from East High in 1978 where he was a standout football player and class president. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Tafoya and together they raised their family in Tucson, Arizona. They eventually separated, however continued to drive each other crazy over the years.

He went on to be a realtor, broker, and business owner, Greg was known for his talent in sales. He was a beloved baseball coach to his son’s team for 7 years, leading them to state championship and instilling a love for the game in young athletes. Greg was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, celebrating every game with unwavering enthusiasm. His passion for music was equally profound, as he enjoyed DJing for many years, and showcasing his smoothest moves on the dance floor.

Greg will be deeply missed, but we find comfort in knowing that he is now whole, embraced by God and reunited with his parents and brother in heaven. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his joyful spirit will forever remain with us.
