Adorno Pacini

Adorno "Joe" Pacini, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025.
Born in Italy, Joe immigrated to the United States at the age of 18 and built a life defined by hard work, community, and joy in downtown Chicago. He was a cherished member of the team at Gene & Georgetti's Steak House, where he worked for over 40 years, helping to make it one of the top-rated restaurants in the country. Joe's warm personality and generous spirit made him beloved by colleagues and customers alike.
Joe was the beloved son of the late Rinaldo and Caterina Pacini. He was a dear brother to Annunziata (the late Sebastiano) Pacini and the late Sebastiano and Ezio Pacini. He was a treasured uncle to Gina (Robert) Guerrieri and Luigi (Linda) Pacini, and a proud great uncle to Vanessa (Nicholas) Polidori, John (Catherine) Guerrieri, Brianna (Matthew) Pacini-Jones, and Michael Pacini. Joe was also a loving great-great-uncle to Juliana, Aria, Santino, and Gino, whose lives he brightened with his enduring kindness.
Joe had a vibrant social life and could often be found visiting friends, walking the streets of Chicago, going to the horse races, or keeping a close eye on the stock market. A lifelong athlete, Joe was an avid marathon runner and continued his fitness routine at the gym well into his 80s, inspiring all who knew him with his vitality and determination.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:00am with Instate at 9:30am at San Francesco Catholic Church, 22870 S. Nunneley, Clinton Township, MI. Joe will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to San Francesco Catholic Church or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in honor of Joe's generous and compassionate spirit.
Joe will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the joy of knowing him.
