I met Adrienne during Freshman year at Chantilly HS. We sat next to eachother in Earth Science and partnered up for the class trip to Chesapeake Bay to search for fossils. My curly hair went nuts in the damp wind on that trip and grew to rediculous proportions from blowing around in the wind. I looked like a freak but she never ditched me. We laughed about how crazy I looked on the bus ride home. Initially, we bonded over having the same middle name, being chatty, loving to sing, and also having a bit of a naughty vocabulary. We had different groups of friends but when we found ourselves together at school or events, we always ended up talking and laughing for the longest time. The last time I saw her was at the HS reunion and I was reminded how much I loved her openness, her frankness, and her sense of humor. It was evident at the time how much she loved her family and was excited about earning her degree to begin the next chapter of her life. I didn't know it was the last time I would see her, so I am glad to have the memory. My condolences to her family and friends - she was truly one of a kind. I know I will remember her always.
