Adrienne (Schaumann) Rosato passed away peacefully at home in Angels Camp, CA. Adrienne loved reading and quilting, and in her younger days loved active sports. She skied, played golf and was a tournament winning player at her tennis club in Tucson, Arizona. She had an awe and love of nature and enjoyed being outdoors in the mountains, at the ocean, or in the desert. Adrienne was born and grew up in New York City and in high school moved with her family up state to Pine Bush, NY in the Catskills. She was valedictorian of her high school class, graduated from New York State Teachers College (now SUNY) in New Paltz, and taught elementary school for several years.
She was married to her husband, Carmin for nearly 70 years. They built a life and a family together first living in Port Ewen, NY and then adventuring west to California in 1964, where they resided in Saratoga, CA to raise their three children. They moved to Tucson, Arizona in the 1980s splitting their time between homes there and in the Sierras in California and then settled in retirement in Angels Camp for the past 25 years. She traveled the world and saw many spots in Europe, Japan, Tahiti, Mexico, Hawaii and the Virgin Islands among other places. She dearly loved her cats and her Irish Setter. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for her daughters' Troop and a strong supporter of the Girl Scouts. She is survived by her husband, Carmin, and her three children and two sons-in-law, Jeanne (David Miller), Terry, and Tom (Jack Garrity). She was a loving wife, mother, and friend and will be sorely missed.
