Adrienne Smith Obituary
Adrienne, as most know as Cookie, spent many years working as a secretary at Kaplan Schultz & Kay, where she was dependable, hardworking, and deeply valued. Throughout her life, she found joy in trips to Amish Country, Ocean Grove, Cape May and Florida as well as playing Rummikub, and, most importantly, spending cherished time with her family. Whether it was a shared laugh, a quick visit, a phone call, or simply being together, those moments meant everything to her.
She now joins her beloved parents, Samuel Smith and Lillian Berman, and her devoted husband, William Smith. Adrienne leaves behind her loving daughters, Lori and Shari; her sons-in-laws, Brian and Marc; and her cherished grandchildren, Emma, Jordan, Mason, and Alexa, who were her greatest pride and joy.
She was deeply loved by all who knew her and loved everyone just as fully, always seeing the good in people and never focusing on the negative. Adrienne will be remembered for her gentle heart, her quiet strength, and the unconditional love she gave to everyone in her life. She will always be missed and forever held close in the hearts of those who loved her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Forest Green Park Cemetery in Marlboro, New Jersey. A memorial lunch will follow at 4 Ike Court, Marlboro, NJ. To leave a condolence or to find directions, please visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.

Cookie and I were cousins, but, as only children of mothers who were sisters, we thought of ourselves as sisters. To this day, Shari and Lori call me aunt Cynci (they could not say Cynthia when they were little) just as Cookie always called my mother aunt Della because she could not say Evelyn when she was little. I loved her as an older sister and, as we grew older, on every birthday I reminded her that she was growing older while I remained younger. I will miss doing that and miss her.
