Mebane, North Carolina
Master Aeden Solomon, 14, of Mebane, North Carolina, departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2025, surrounded by his family at Duke University Hospital after fighting with strength, grace, and determination against a rare form of cancer. He faced every challenge with quiet courage and a spirit that never gave up.
Born in San Diego County, California, Aeden was the cherished son of Brentton Solomon and Melissa Solomon and the adored "twin" big brother of Adelynn. From the start, he had a gentle heart and a spark of curiosity that made him one of a kind. He was kind, funny, and sometimes a little mischievous - the perfect mix that made everyone love being around him.
Aeden loved Legos, roller coasters, video games, and anime, but nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. He was a talented musician who played the baritone saxophone and found pride and confidence in being part of the school band. Though he studied from home during his treatment, he stayed close with his friends from Eastern Alamance High School - especially his best friend, Skye Folsom, who was there for him through everything.
He also leaves behind his loyal dog, Noelle, his popcorn partner and constant companion who never left his side.
Aeden was preceded in death by his grandparents Gloria Solomon and Matthew and Nancy Fulk. He is survived by his parents, Brentton and Melissa Solomon; his sister, Adelynn Solomon; his grandfather, Carlton Solomon; his aunts, LaKesha and Melanie Solomon; his cousins Kailah, Bri, Raegan, Carson, and Nala; and many loving family members and friends who will always hold him close in their hearts.
"It's not the length of time we have on this earth that matters, but the love we give and the lives we touch along the way."
Aeden's time here was too short, but he made every moment count. His love, laughter, and courage will stay with us always.
